The Hayfork High School football team fell to Chester 54-12 in the opening round of the Northern Section 8-Man playoffs at Chester Friday, Nov. 8. The Timberjacks finish the season 6-4 overall, 4-3 in league.

The South's No. 1-seeded Chester is now 11-0, 7-0 and will host the North's No. 2-seeded Big Valley on Friday, Nov. 15.

The Trinity varsity football team lost its last game of the season 33-28 to visiting Mt. Shasta on Friday, Nov. 8. The Wolves finished at 1-9 overall, 1-4 and tied for fourth in the Mid-Valley League.
