China hid the truth about the coronavirus.

President Donald Trump sat on his hands for three months, and the U.S. was not prepared.

Gov. Gavin Newsom panicked, and shut down the economy of the entire state of California, putting 3.4 million people out of work. Millions out of work!

The federal government is now printing money like crazy to repair the economic damage. Now, that scares me! I wonder whether any congresspersons ever studied economics?

Governor Newsom’s reaction was probably correct for the San Francisco area, and possibly for Los Angeles and Sacramento. In the rural areas, the suffering from the drastic economic measures far exceeds that from the virus. Who cares? Not the governor.

This is an old story; the rural people have virtually no representation in the state Legislature, so we get no consideration in the decision-making process. We are dominated and oppressed by the urban areas. The State of Jefferson movement may seem quixotic, but it is the only conceivable way that rural people will ever have a chance at appropriate governance.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a governor who actually cares about the rural people?
