On June 9, 2018, Bobby Joe Jones went home to be with the Lord, after losing his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

Bobby’s family is holding a celebration of life at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Masonic Lodge in Yreka, Calif. Michele Jones is not welcome to attend. Bobby Joe Jones was born Oct. 10, 1953, to John (Jack) and Shirley Jones in Burns, Ore. Bobby was proceeded in death by his parents.

Bobby graduated from McCloud High School in 1971. Bobby attended College of the Siskiyous for a time. Bobby had a few different jobs through his life. Bobby made logging his career. He loved being in the woods. Bobby was a logger for 44 years. Bobby worked and lived in Oregon and California.

Bobby’s favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting, gold mining, cooking and playing the guitar. Bobby made a guitar with the help of a friend.

Most of all, Bobby loved his family and friends. Bobby is survived by his children, Jeremy Jones, Weed Calif.; Mindy (Dan) Martin, Yreka, Calif.; Bobby (Kimmie) Jones, Phoenix, Ore.; and Matt Wiseman-Kelley currently serving in the Marine Corps. Also, his grandchildren Kody, Bailey, Bethani, Kira and Karson Martin of Yreka, Calif., and Nathen and Emily Jones of San Jose, Calif.

Bobby is also survived by siblings Terry (Katz) Jones, Agnes, Ore.; John Jones, Ukiah, Calif.; Laurie Jones, Medford, Ore.; and Charlie Jones, Seiad, Calif.
