Roger A. Buchholz

Roger Allen Buchholz, 72, a longtime resident of Weaverville, died on Dec. 13, 2019, at Trinity Hospital in Weaverville following an extended illness.

Roger was born on Jan. 8, 1947, in San Rafael, Calif. He worked as a professional firefighter for 29 years before moving to Weaverville. While in Weaverville he owned the Old Towne Deli, was a long-haul truck driver and worked at the Douglas City Store. He was a member of Mountain Chapel in Weaverville.

He is survived by his sister, Debbie Buchholz, in Oregon; niece, Stacie Pearce, of Weaverville, a nephew, Samuel Pearce, of Weaverville; and numerous friends in the Weaverville community.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edith Buchholz; a brother, Lauren Buchholz; and a sister, Sandra Wolff.

Arrangements are by Trinity Alps Funeral Home of Weaverville.
