Donna B. Hanan

Donna Beth Hanan (formally of Weaverville) entered her eternal home on Feb. 5, 2021, at the age of 89.

She passed away peacefully at her home in Avery, Calaveras County, Calif., with family gathered around her. She was a resident in Avery for 44 years.

She was born in Pasadena, Calif., on Nov. 9, 1931.

Donna and Jack moved to Avery from the Placerville area in 1977. Donna was active in her community: volunteering at the Sierra Nevada Logging Museum in White Pines and the county fair in Angels Camp. She was a vital part of the congregation in Sierra Bible Church in Murphys for many years. She volunteered in their MOPs program and was a member of the church board. She recently started attending Grace Hills Covenant Church in Angels Camp.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jack Hanan, and her son Don Hanan.

She is survived by five children: Jackie Walters (Don), Debbie Gossner (Jan), Mike Hanan (Sandy), Susan Clark (Michael), Waymen Hanan (Stacy); Don’s widow Vicki Hanan; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Due to current circumstances a celebration of life will be in the future. In lieu of flowers, send any donations to Grace Hills Church or Sierra Nevada Logging Museum.
