Loretta Faye McGrath passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020. She was born on April 2, 1962, in Weaverville to parents Charles and Loretta McGrath.

She comes from a large family; Faye was one of nine children, she has many, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many friends she considered family.

Faye spent majority of her life in Trinity County to stay close to her family.

She enjoyed the outdoors, antiquing, pets, making others laugh and spending time with her grandsons.

Faye is survived by her mother Loretta Fay McGrath; her five sons, Jeremy Wallace, Christopher Avila Graham, Dustin Tobiassen, Hawk Avila and Joshua McGrath; her three grandsons, Julian Avila, Anthony Azure Graham, and Zain Eugene Graham; her brothers, Robert McGrath and James McGrath; her sisters, Robin McGrath, Sherril McGrath, Melissa McGrath and Melinda McGrath; plus uncle Dick and aunt Mary McGrath.

Faye was preceded in death by her son Anthony Avila, her brother Gene McGrath, sister Charlene McGrath, and nieces Dakota Ostergren and Alyssa McGrath.

A graveside service for Loretta Faye McGrath will be held at noon Saturday Dec. 5, at the Weaverville Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic a memorial will be held in Weaverville sometime next year.

Arrangements will be handled by Trinity Alps Funeral Home, Weaverville.
