The Trinity County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls from March 16-22.
Monday, March 16
At 10:59 a.m., a caller in the area of Kirsten Lane, Trinity Center, reported that a neighbor’s dogs keep coming on their property and creating issues.
At 10:22 p.m., deputies made a warrant arrest in the area of Riverview Drive, Hayfork.
Tuesday, March 17
At 1:01 a.m., a caller in the area of Forest Lane, Weaverville, reported that a neighbor is banging on her door and making threats. Deputy arrived to admonish the neighbor.
At 1:20 a.m., a subject was released from the Emergency Room and was reportedly trying to gain access to a vehicle. Deputies arrived and asked the subject to leave the area.
At 6:50 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a rape in Weaverville.
At 11:24 a.m., Search and Rescue was called for a report of a vehicle broken down above the snowline near Waterman Ridge, Salyer. Deputies located subject, canceled Search and Rescue.
At 11:34 a.m., a caller reported a loose German shepherd with an expensive collar in the area of Highway 3, Hayfork.
At 2:34 pm., a caller reported a subject sleeping on the steps of a building in Junction City. Deputy contacted subject and advised him to leave the private property.
At 9:58 p.m., a caller reported a verbal altercation between subjects in the area of Lower Mill Street, Weaverville. Deputy investigated, advised all subjects about the eviction process.
At 10:33 p.m., deputies made a warrant arrest in the area of Highway 3 at Forest Avenue.
Wednesday, March 18
At 10:50 a.m., a caller reported squatters living in the house of a subject who has been out of the area for a long time. Messages were left for the property owner. Report pending
At 2:55 p.m., a caller reported that a screaming, cussing female in Steiner Flat Campground was starting a fire with gasoline, putting it out and starting it again. Deputy arrived to find the woman was fine, just having trouble getting the fire started.
At 6:22 p.m., a caller reported that a known male subject had locked her out of her house. Deputies arrived to assist in the civil matter.
At 11:23 p.m., a caller reported a trespasser in the area of Hall Way, Weaverville. Subject fled prior to deputy’s arrival.
Thursday, March 19
At 6:17 p.m., the Hayfork Dump reported that someone had broken in overnight and started a warming fire.
At 11:33 a.m., a caller reported she had been bitten by a dog while trying to break up a dog fight in Lewiston.
At 12:52 p.m., a business in Weaverville reported a suspicious male hanging around who had left belongings there.
At 1 p.m., a caller in Hayfork reported that he had been bitten by his cat when it was startled by his dog. Caller was referred to Public Health.
At 1:29 p.m., a caller reported that an RV had been abandoned on his property in the area of North Meadow Lane, in Hayfork.
At 2:04 p.m., a caller on Jordan Road in Douglas City reported that neighbors are causing a disruption by shooting guns.
Friday, March 20
At 10:26 a.m., a caller reported a structure fire in the area of Oak Crest Way in Douglas City, saying there was an explosion heard prior to the fire. Fire personnel arrived and extinguished the fully involved mobile home. Deputies remained to investigate the cause.
At 12:29 p.m., a caller reported a burglary in the area of Salyer Loop Road, Salyer. Caller said their recently purchased home had been burglarized while they were away.
At 12:47 p.m., a business in the area of Main Street in Weaverville reported that two subjects were arguing inside and one said they had been struck in the head.
At 1:43 p.m., a caller in the area of Highway 3 in Weaverville reported that a roommate had barricaded her from the kitchen, turned off the hot water and cut the cable. Caller was advised to obtain a restraining order or talk to her landlord.
At 2:03 p.m., a caller in Junction City reported receiving threats by text. Caller wanted documentation of the threats and said he would recontact authorities of it continued.
At 2:56 p.m., a caller in the area of Masonic Lane in Weaverville reported a blue heeler dog chasing her kids and biting at them.
At 6:32 p.m., a caller reported that fuel had been stolen in the area of Burnt Ranch School Road and that he has video of the theft.
At 10:32 a caller in the area of East Weaver Street, Weaverville, reported hearing gunshots and was upset because it was scaring her dog.
Saturday, March 21
At 12:40 p.m., a caller reported a neighbor in Douglas City was harassing her by blocking her driveway with a car and yelling at her. Deputy arrived to advised her to get a restraining order.
At 2:41 p.m., a caller reported a male subject in the area of Ransom Road, Weaverville, yelling and saying he is going to chop somebody up. Deputy arrived to find a subject who said he’s having a bad day. Deputy gave the subject food, Gatorade and toiletries.
Sunday, March 22
At 1:48 a.m., a caller reported theft of a car by force in the area of Salyer Loop Road, Salyer. Car was later found by Humboldt County CHP.
At 11:44 a.m., a caller in the area of Salyer Loop Road, reported a subject refusing to leave the property, related to the previous call. Deputy arrived to find subject had a non-extraditable warrant for failing to appear in court from Idaho.
At 2:35 p.m., a caller reported a campsite in the area of Highway 3, Weaverville, where people had been partying for several weeks. Caller said gunshots have been heard in the area. Deputy arrived to find a clean campsite on BLM land with no one occupying it.
At 6:21 p.m., a caller reported a subject breaking glass in the area of Main Street, Weaverville. Deputy arrived to find a subject cleaning up a broken glass window at the location.
