The Mountain Valley Unified School District announced it will close its schools beginning tomorrow, March 17, through the end of spring break, April 10.

To date there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Trinity County. The decision follows declarations by President Trump and Gov. Newsom of a National Emergency and a State of Emergency in California.

All outside activities are canceled until further notice.

The district is preparing to move to an online format and to deliver school lunches and breakfasts.

For more information, see the district’s website and Facebook page.
