A Redding man was arrested in Trinity County on several charges after allegedly following a Trinity County woman. According to a Sheriff’s release, a woman reported that a vehicle was following her at about 5:50 a.m. She reported that the van followed her to her Douglas City residence and parked across the street.
Deputies pulled the van over as it was leaving the area and spoke to the driver, David Vanbuskirk, 57, of Redding. Deputies investigated to find the van had been reported stolen the previous night.
Vanbuskirk was arrested for auto theft, possession of stolen property, driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia.
As of Friday morning, he was still in Trinity County jail under $25,000 bail.
