The driver found deceased after a crash near Deerlick Springs Road on Highway 3 on Nov. 16 has been identified as Tyler Busse, 35, of Hayfork.

According to CHP reports, Busse’s 2000 Ford truck was traveling northbound on Highway 3 approaching Deerlick Springs Road, when, for unknown reasons, it left the right side of the roadway. The truck overturned, leaving its camper shell and contents just off the roadway before rolling several times down the steep bank.

Busse was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the truck before it came to rest on its side on the valley floor more than 100 yards from the Roadway. He was declared deceased at the scene. Anyone with information about the crash is urged to call the Trinity River CHP office at 623-3832.
