Authorities have yet to catch up with an Ireland man accused of stabbing another man inside a bar in western Trinity County on July 2.
According to a Trinity County Sheriff’s report, dispatch was notified of a stabbing incident at the Rock Slide Bar and Grill on Highway 299, Burnt Ranch. “During the investigation it was found a male subject had been stabbed numerous times during an altercation,” the report states.
The suspect was identified as Daniel Cummins of Ireland, whose last known address is reported to be in King Salmon, south of Eureka.
The victim was taken to a Humboldt County hospital, his name withheld.
Sheriff’s Det. Josh Ford said he was found to have been stabbed multiple times, and that as of Monday, Cummins remains on the run.
Cummins is described as being 30 years old, between 5’8” to 6 feet tall, with brown eyes and brown hair.
