The Weaverville Chamber of Commerce is launching a re-opening awareness initiative — “Responding to COVID Together” — to help local residents and visitors quickly assess the re-opening status of the community’s businesses. While it is up to the county to determine each business’s re-opening status, it is the chamber’s intention to facilitate greater awareness of our shared progress in moving forward, together.

This initiative features color-coded posters to be placed in a prominent location at each business, to be seen from the sidewalk or street. Color coding quickly identifies a business’s current status. The codes are: Red - Temporarily CLOSED, Yellow - OPEN with Conditions, and Green - OPEN County Compliant. A customer or passerby can easily determine the status of a business by looking at the color of the heart in the center of the poster.

“Together” posters are being offered to all Trinity County businesses upon request. Businesses do not need to be Weaverville Chamber members to participate. (Note: as a business’s status changes, a new, appropriately colored poster can be requested.) Posters will be available by Thursday, May 21. Please contact Pat Zugg at the Visitor Center at 623-6101 or by email at to order your poster. If you have questions, Weaverville Chamber President Elizabeth Watson would be happy to speak with you. You can reach Elizabeth at
