Supervisors OK preliminary $65.8 million budget

Posted: Wednesday, June 27, 2012 6:15 am

Trinity County supervisors last week approved a preliminary county budget of $65,803,105 for the 2012-13 fiscal year to authorize continued spending come July 1 after the current fiscal year has expired and before a final budget is adopted in September.

It’s a formality each June and County Administrative Officer Wendy Tyler said the numbers are “indeed preliminary based on historic revenues and expenditures and no cuts have been implemented. This is just to allow us to continue to function while the budget is a work in progress.”
