Detectives are seeking to identify several suspects in a home invasion robbery early Wednesday morning in the Wildwood area.
The 911 call came in at approximately 4:45 a.m. Deputies located two victims with minor injuries from having their hands and feet bound.
The victims indicated that earlier in the morning, five to seven males with firearms entered their residence, bound them with duct tape and other items, and proceeded to rob them, the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office said.
The suspects remained at the property for approximately three hours. During that time, the suspects stole hundreds of marijuana plants. The suspects fled the property at approximately 4 a.m., leaving the victims still bound in a structure on the property. The victims were able to free their hands and feet and flee to a neighboring property to contact law enforcement.
The suspects were reportedly Hispanic males in their twenties and/or thirties, who spoke Spanish and broken English. The suspects had used at least one box truck (white with unknown markings) in the commission of the crime.
Detectives processed the scene, seizing a variety of items which should yield DNA evidence to assist in identifying the suspects, the Sheriff’s Office said.
