Effective Monday, Nov. 22, the closure area on Highway 299 will be shortened during overnight hours and on Sundays. Continuous one-way traffic control will be in place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily and all day Sunday just west of Del Loma from post miles 18.3 to 19.3 with flaggers only (no pilot car).
Highway 299 will remain closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m Monday to Wednesday, Nov. 22-24, from post mile 14.8 (Cedar Flat) to post mile 31 (east of Big Bar) with four openings at 7 a.m., 7:30 a.m., noon and 4:15 p.m.
For the week of Thanksgiving, crews will not be working Thursday through Sunday, Nov. 25-28. Continuous, one-way traffic control will be in place from post mile 18.3 to 19.3 with flaggers only (no pilot car) from 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24, to 6 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 29.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 29, two additional openings will be added to the Monday through Saturday daytime schedule. The new opening times will be 7 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., and 4:15 p.m.
To ensure you’ll get through during the scheduled daytime openings, please arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to the open time. Traffic that is in line at the opening times will be escorted via pilot car simultaneously from both sides. This schedule is subject to change without prior notice.
