Update: Caltrans QuickMap now shows Highway 299 over Oregon Mountain to be clear with no chain restrictions. Highway 3 from 20 miles north of Trinity Center to south of Callahan is open with R2 restrictions: chains required except for 4WD/AWD vehicles with snow tires.

At the moment, Caltrans QuickMaps is showing Highway 299 closed over Oregon Mountain due to stuck vehicles. However, CHP Officer Eric Mello said tow trucks are on the way to clear the seven stuck cars and one big rig.

Highway 3 is closed from 20 miles north of Trinity Center to 3 miles south of Callahan.

Highway 3 south of Douglas City is under R2 restrictions: chains on all vehicles except 4WD/AWD with snow tires.

Highway 36 through Trinity County is also under R2 restrictions.
