Two victims of a rockslide in Salyer Tuesday afternoon were being airlifted to hospitals, a Caltrans spokeswoman said.

The injured persons are employees of Steelhead Constructors based in Redding who were working on the curve improvement project at “Enchilada Curve” in Salyer near the Humboldt County line, said Denise Yergenson, from Caltrans.

“They are both being airlifted out of the Willow Creek Airport,” Yergenson said.

No further information was available on their conditions or what hospitals they are being taken to.

One-way traffic control is in effect at the site.
