Caltrans District 2 and contractor J.F. Shea Co. Inc. continue installing metal beam guardrails, removing hazard trees, and assessing drainage and culvert damage along the Highway 36 corridor following the August Complex. This emergency work is anticipated to continue through at least the end of November.
Motorists are asked to travel in the area only if necessary and through-traffic should continue to consider alternate routes at this time. Caltrans District 2 and J.F. Shea Co, Inc. appreciates the patience of locals and the traveling public as vital repairs continue to be made along Highway 36 in the area.
