Grab your gear. Let’s clean up the Trinity River.

Cleanup crews need your help on Saturday, Sept. 26, to collect garbage from along the Trinity River stretching from Lewiston to Big Bar. This is a no-host volunteer effort to clean up the river while being compliant with COVID-19 regulations. Trucks will be stationed at locations along the Trinity River to collect trash from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. To receive a list of trash disposal sites and suggested locations email Trinity County RCD at or call 623-6004.

These efforts support the preservation of our local watersheds and public lands. Please do not bring personal trash.

Safety is most important. Respect social distancing, wear a mask, and do not pick up questionable or contaminated items such as chemicals, needles. Notify us if you find a large dump site, large pieces of trash, or contaminated items.

Sign up by Sept. 21 for your chance to win a prize!

These efforts are supported by Trinity County RCD, Trinity River Restoration Program, U.S. Forest Service, and Bureau of Land Management.
