A Weaverville man remains in Humboldt County Jail as of Monday on $60,000 bail after being arrested in Willow Creek on a number of charges. According to Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Danny Trow Marcelli, 48, was contacted during a traffic stop near the 100 block of Bigfoot Ave. at about 10:38 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7.
After determining Marcelli had been driving on a suspended license, the deputy had him get out of the vehicle.
“While Marcelli exited the vehicle, the deputy observed a plastic bag of methamphetamine fall near the driver’s seat,” a Sheriff’s release said. “During a search of Marcelli, the deputy located another bag of methamphetamine. In total, Marcelli was found to be in possession of approximately 30 grams of methamphetamine.”
Marcelli was booked into jail, charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession for sale, transportation of a controlled substance, driving without a license and driving without insurance.
