TRINITY COUNTY 4-H

Members, leaders and parents from Southern Trinity 4-H, Grass Valley Creek 4-H and Zenia 4-H clubs all met in the beautiful town of Mad River to attend County Presentation Day on March 27.

The 4-H members gave demonstrations, prepared speeches, impromptu speeches, illustrated talks and exhibited educational displays. Southern Trinity 4-H Club hosted this annual event once again. The following 4-H members gave a presentation, and did a wonderful job perfecting their public speaking skills:

Southern Trinity 4-H Club — Blue Millsap, prepared speech, impromptu speech, and illustrated talk; Daysha Jones, demonstration; Rex Rolff, demonstration; Jace Hunt, illustrated talk; Kodi Millsap, illustrated talk; Kaitlynn Young, demonstration; Riley Young and Robert Aldous, team illustrated talk; Kelsey Ann Willburn, educational display.

Grass Valley Creek 4-H Club — Krystin Dionno, educational display.

Zenia 4-H Club — Ty Hartl-illustrated talk.

Presentation Day judges from the community included: Jenna Thomas, Mavis Brown and Manny Ribeiro. Thank you judges, Southern Trinity 4-H Club for hosting, and the Six Rivers Lions Club for their support of this event.

The next countywide 4-H event will be the first 4-H Art Extravaganza on Saturday, April 17, at the Hayfork fairgrounds dining hall. This new county event is the All-Star project of Trinity County 4-H All Stars GeorgeAnn DeAntoni and Aren Lane. Art work entered will be judged and ribbons awarded. The top two entries in each class will be on display at the Trinity County Library in Weaverville for the month of May - - be sure to drop by the library to see the 4-H member’s art work.
