Labor day quilt show call for entries

The Shasta Lily Quilt Guild invites all quilters to enter “Quilting Around the Mountain,” a quilt show on Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-5, at the Mount Shasta High School gym.

Entries may be quilts, art quilts, wall hangings, table runners, wearable items or other novelty quilted items. Techniques can be traditional or contemporary. Also invited are entries of donated children’s quilts for Project Linus.

Viewer’s Choice ribbons will be awarded for first, second and third place. In addition, Viewer’s Choice ribbons will be awarded in the Project Linus category. First-, second- and third-place Peer Judge ribbons will also be awarded.

Activities include a boutique, vendors, an Opportunity Quilt raffle, Opportunity baskets, and door prizes.
