For the 2010 Autumn in the Alps Quilt Show, the Thursday Night Strippers Quilt Guild announces a new award sponsored by The Trinity Journal. The best design using black, white and red will win a one-year subscription to The Trinity Journal.

Dance classes

StarLight Dance will meet twice a month in February and March — Mondays, Feb. 1 and 15, and March 1 and 15; the studio opens at 5:30 p.m., class is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Classes meet in the studio above Olson Stoneware in downtown Weaverville.
