Children honor veterans
To honor veterans the preschool and primary classes (First Five Playgroup) of Coffee Creek School treated the Trinity Lake Lions to a special Veterans Day presentation. Dressed in white shirts and red cowboy hats and holding flags, the children sang their hearts out, each one knowing and singing all the words to "God Bless America," "America the Beautiful" and "You're a Grand Old Flag." Teachers Laura Umpierre and Mary Valls and aides Jamie Brinton and Samantha Seymoure taught the children hand motions to dramatize all the songs. Following the Pledge of Allegiance, the older students took turns defining and giving meaning to each of the difficult words in the pledge.

Linda was so much a part of those of us who loved her; it was difficult to accept her absence. Whatever organization Linda joined, she participated with enthusiasm and ideas. We miss her and will remember her always.
