Mill gets OK to start debris removal The Trinity River Lumber Company's insurance company has accepted the claim resulting from the Sept. 12 fire at the mill, and debris removal started last Friday. There are still many details and hurdles to work out with the insurance, said Trinity River Lumber Controller Bev Wilson. As the debris is removed, mill staff will be able to see what was lost and what is salvageable, she said. Debris removal is expected to take a couple of weeks, and the plan is still to rebuild, Wilson said. More than 100 were put out of work, though some have been hired back at outlying mills and for on-site security.
