Hayfork Timberjacks pick off Bulldogs 60-0 to continue undefeated season
      Hayfork High School Timberjacks quarterback Scott Harrison passed for three touchdowns and scored on a 75-yard kickoff return to lead the Timberjacks to a 60-0 win over the previously undefeated Butte Valley Bulldogs Friday night at Ernie Glass field in Hayfork.

      The Hayfork High School Timberjacks will travel to Redding for the game against Liberty Christian at University Prep at 7 p.m. Thursday. Hayfork will go into the game as the only undefeated team remaining in the Northern Section Division VI and is the section's No. 1 rated team.

Trinity High hosts cross-country run
      Trinity High School hosted the Trinity Invitational cross-country run last Thursday, welcoming 10 Northern California schools and 68 runners. The course consisted of three miles mixed terrain with gravel and forested trails around the high school.

     Trinity High School's Madeline Greggi hits the ball as Breanna Gaulke, Lacy Duncan and Danielle Jeangerard cover during Saturday's game at THS against Modoc. Modoc won the match in four sets: 25-21, 22-25, 25-15 and 25-22. For the Wolves, Greggi had 13 kills and two aces, and Duncan had four aces, seven kills and 14 assists. The Wolves were scheduled to travel to Etna Tuesday night for their final game of the season. Going into the game they had a league record of 3-9. The Wolves are coached by Julie Barcellona.

Hayfork girls rack up two more wins
      The Hayfork High School Lady Timberjacks won consecutive road victories over Paradise Adventist Academy and Maxwell to guarantee a winning season record (12-10-5) and a thirdplace league finish (6-3) with just Tuesday's game against Westwood remaining before the playoffs.

Trinity racers rack up wins at Shasta
     Trinity County motorcycle racers Brett Plotzke, far left, and Zaya Taylor, second from left, each added another win to their record Sunday at the 30th annual Shasta Grand Prix, held at the Chappie-Shasta OHV park in Shasta Lake. Plotzke also raced to a close second in the 85cc division on Saturday. With his win, Taylor will advance to the Vet-Expert class to battle the West Coast's fastest riders. Other Trinity County riders also placed well during the racing weekend. Hunter Still, far right, took first place in C-125 4 stroke 7-11; Michael Howard, first place, C-125 4 stroke 12-15; Jesse Kanihan, second place, C-125 4 stroke 12-15; Damon Fagan, fourth place, C-Vet; Ethan Fagan, fourth place, C-125 4 stroke 7-11; Aaron Still, fourth from left, fifth place, B-Vet; Coltin Still, center, seventh place, Pee Wee 50; Chase DeMoss Jr., ninth, C-85; Brody Taylor, 13th, C-65. The AMA Western Regional Cross Country series continues next weekend at the Prairie City OHV park in Sacramento, where the Liliputian Hare scramble will be held.

Wolverines score league championship
      The Trinity Wolverines girls soccer team picked up a tough 3-0 victory in Redding this past weekend to wrap up another league championship. The Wolverines didn't score until 25 minutes into the game as Redding stacked its defense with six fullbacks.

FISHING REPORT
      Cooler temperatures for the last week have helped keep water temperatures down and started more fish to move into the valley. Hopefully we will start see more salmon moving up the Klamath and into the Trinity.

      There is an interesting project going on at the Shasta College farm. Ten hogs are being raised as an educational resource for students in a unique environment not duplicated anywhere north of San Luis Obispo.
