More merchant calendars available
      More copies of the 2010 Weaverville Merchants "Back to the Bare Necessities" calendar are available. The first 50 calendars sold out immediately, and 1,500 more have been printed. Weaverville business owner Geoffrey Beebe came up with the idea of a nude fundraising calendar — featuring himself and his fellow merchants.

November Art Cruise
      This month's Art Cruise features "Back to the Bare Necessities," the Weaverville Merchants calendar. The Art Cruise from 5 to 8 p.m. this Saturday includes the added fun of calendar signings. Many of the people featured in the muchtalked about publication will be selling and autographing the calendar.

Hawthorn scholarship awarded
      At this year's sixth annual Healing Arts Fair, Kit Porritt of Hayfork was awarded the Hawthorn Scholarship gift of $500 to assist her in the master's degree in counseling program at National University.

Three Christmass bazaars
      There will be an early Christmas bazaar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Golden Age Center, Weaverville, with many vendors there to help you find just the right handcrafted Christmas present. Also, there will be homemade candy, cookies, pies and bread. The kitchen will be open for lunch.

Photography, glass and pottery featured at new Main St. Gallery show
      "Burro Bill" Lewinson of Willow Creek and Rozz Aucella of Salyer are the featured artists for November at Main Street Gallery in Weaverville. Lewinson offers more than 30 years of photography. Most of the photos featured in this show were taken in the Trinity Alps and the Yolla Bolly mountains.
