Trinity County celebrated its 10th annual Relay for Life event last weekend at Weaverville Elementary School. Trinity County residents turned out to participate in the games, food, fun and walking that went on from 10 a.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday. The good part was that Lewiston had three and a half teams in the Trinity County Relay for Life in Weaverville and they helped raise more than $35,000, which was more than half of the total $65,000 for the entire event! Saturday was the second annual Art Day at Riversong Village. Riversong looked lovely, with beautiful banners, lavender and gourds marking the way. Jordan Alexis Johnson and Nathanial Scott Trujillo, both of Weaverville, are planning to be married in the fall on the Trinity River in Lewiston. Trujillo, a 2005 graduate of Trinity High School, is a Trinity County deputy sheriff. Johnson, a 2008 graduate of Trinity High School, is a college student working toward a dental degree. More ...
