The Trinity Lumberjacks secured their first two victories of the season, beating the Chico Sabers 13-4 and 7-4 in a semi-pro baseball doubleheader under a blazing sun Sunday at Trinity High School. Jeff Malloy pitched the first game for Trinity, holding the Sabers to a three-hitter, striking out five batters and walking seven. More ... The Weaverville Waves traveled to Etna for the Scott Valley Swim Team's Sharkfest 2009 June 27-28. The meet consisted of seven teams and 275 swimmers from across the North State and Oregon.
