      Elisa Cera's first day at Trinity High School last August was a rough one. The Italian teen, visiting the United States through the American Field Service program, was far from fluent in English. Spanish and history went OK, she said, but then came third and fourth period, chemistry and math.

Host families needed for visiting students
      The American Field Service is looking for host families in Trinity County. "We're not going to have a student next year unless we have a host family," said Kathy Larson, a member of the AFS committee for the Trinity and Redding area.

      Robby L. Dunsing Air Force Airman Robby L. Dunsing graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
