4th of July Art Cruise lineup
Highland Art Center
Eureka artists Stock and Rachel Schlueter have been camped in Junction City for weeks while venturing out each day into the wild with canvases, brushes and paints to paint landscapes of the magnificent Trinity mountains and forests. These paintings will be featured in their joint art show at the Highland Art Center for the month of July.
Stock has just been honored with a featured article on his exquisite paintings in the June issue of Southwest Art magazine.
Highland Art Center in downtown Weaverville presents the Schlueters beginning at 10 a.m. July 4. A reception will be held during the Art Cruise from 5 to 8 p.m. that day, and refreshments will be served. The Schlueters will be present.

5 Windows Gallery
5 Windows Gallery invites the public to enjoy the paintings of Joy Wiltsee and Evelyn Mercer Ward as their show opens on Independence Day.
The two artists share a love for the grand landscape of Trinity County as well as a love of vibrant color. Wiltsee's work presents itself as bold statements of color and design, while Ward's paintings strive to reproduce a quality of luminescent light and softer color.
Both artists will be sharing primarily landscape images this July. Ward's current body of work consists of both watercolors and oils. She is painting larger works now, continuing to push her limits, expanding to full-sheet paintings and stretching with the discomfort, what she calls "painting yoga."
Captivated by the town of Weaverville and the majesty of the surrounding mountains and rivers, Wiltsee is finds her watercolors travel easily for her favorite pastimes, day hikes and backpacking. This is her 20th year in Weaverville and her 30th year of having "found herself" by giving up alcohol and pursuing "the watercolor challenge."
Artist-musician John Stewart will perform at the opening from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 4, during Weaverville's monthly Art Cruise.
5 Windows is located on Main Street, on the corner of highways 299 and 3. It is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Angela's Bead's Art
Celebrate the Fourth of July on the deck at Angela's Bead's Art & Antiques. Live music will be provided by the Tribe of Dan, Kristy Rose, Stevo, and the Trinity Tribal Drummers. Profiled artists include Sophia Massey, Jill Richards, Framing by D'Milo and more.
