The global economy, particularly here in the United States, is improving in part due to the massive "bailout plan" passed by federal government in late 2008 and the decrease of oil prices from $148/barrel to $40/barrel. Their New Year's day was also their birthdays. When you were born, you were 1 year old. Therefore, if you were born on New Year's Eve you could be 2 years old when with us you were only 2 days old.
