BERENDINA "DINI" DEARINGER

Berendina "Dini" Dearinger, 91, of Lewiston went to be with the Lord on Feb. 18, 2009, at Trinity Hospital in Weaverville.

She was born Jan. 8, 1918, in Holland where she grew up. She came to America as a World War II bride, speaking only Dutch.

She moved to Lewiston in 1977, where she shared over 30 years of "walks with the dogs" at Lewiston Lake and the river with local residents and many friends. She is known for her love of dogs and nature.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 28 at Mountain Chapel in Weaverville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Animal Shelter Association, P.O. Box 1228, Weaverville, CA 96093.
