DOROTHY MCLAUGHLIN CRAWFORD

Dorothy McLaughlin Crawford, 95, formerly of Weaverville, died Feb. 18, 2009, at Stollwood Convalescent Hospital in Woodland.

She was born Sept. 6, 1913, in Buffalo, N.Y. She moved to Weaverville from Sparks, Nev., in 1990 to be near her daughter and some of her grandchildren. She was diagnosed with cancer at age 89 and entered a care home in Weaverville, moved to Williams to be near her son and his wife, then moved to Woodland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Alma; twin sister, Doris; sister, Pearl; son-inlaw, Bruce Grow; and daughter in-law, Mildred Crawford.

She is survived by her daughters, Zerelda La Force (Gene), Barbara Grow and Corrine London; son, Joe Crawford (Annette); 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was greatly loved and cherished and will be missed.

Funeral services were conducted Feb. 21 in Weaverville. Burial will be at a later date.
