Bigfoot Days events in Willow Creek

Bigfoot Days will be celebrated in Willow Creek on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. along Highway 299 in downtown Willow Creek.

The theme is "Year of the Bigfoot. Seeing is Believing!" The grand marshal is Mr. Bigfoot himself, Al Hodgson. The cost for a parade entry is $25 for businesses; there is no charge for nonprofits, youth organizations and families.

To enter the parade, make checks payable to Bigfoot Days Parade and fax your information to (530) 629-2137. Mail your check to PO Box 6, WCCSD, Willow Creek CA 95573, or arrive early the morning of the parade and make your payment at the registration table.

The parade lineup begins at 9:30 a.m. in the back parking lot of Willow Creek Medical Clinic. A registration table will be set up on the side of Ray's Food Place to collect funds, register and give out parade numbers.

Judging will be from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. sharp, with the VFW honor guard leading the way.

The parade is followed by the big celebration at Veterans Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be the annual car show, music, an evening adult softball tournament, a barbecue, vendor booths, and more. For vending or fair information, call Cortney at 629-3530.
