Wolverines are champions
      The Trinity Wolverines U14 girl soccer team tried to do something that has never been done by a soccer team in Trinity County last weekend. A team from here has never won back-to-back District Cup Championships or even won the championship twice.

Fishing Report
      On Sunday Trinity Lake was 112 feet below the overflow and at 42 percent of capacity. Average inflow to the lake was 894 cfs, and 1,429 cfs was being released to the Sacramento River. It appears that the Bureau of Reclamation is drawing off more water than what is coming into the lake.

     The Douglas City School girls' basketball team brings home the first-place trophy from the Scott Valley Tournament held Nov. 7-8.

      Results for women's play at Trinity Alps Golf Course on Nov. 18 were: Low gross was Florence Guidotti and Low Net was June Black. Gidget Romero had a chip-in.

Flag football super bowl
      The 2008 James Swett and James Taylor Medal of Honor Super Bowl will be played at Trinity High School this Saturday, Nov. 22. Games start at 10 a.m. with the Pee Wee Division (K-3), followed at 11 a.m. with the J.V. Division (7 to 10 years), and the Varsity Division (10 to 14 years) at noon.
