WES Winter Concert Thursday
      The Weaverville Elementary School music program will present its Winter Concert on November 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center. Performing groups will include the 5/6th grade chorus, the 7/8th grade choir, the 5th grade beginning band, a combined concert band, and the 6/8th grade jazz band.

Trinity kids in 'Nutcracker'
      Nine Trinity County children will share the stage with the Redding City Ballet Company in a performance of "The Nutcracker" at the Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center. While most of the company dancers are veterans of many Nutcracker performances, for the children who participate the experience is pure excitement.

Trinity's Lively Arts
      Deja vu was what I felt as I entered the Main Street Gallery to see the play "Art" by Yamina Reza. The same place, same actors, and same funny jokes and situation comedy that I saw two years ago. The stage was set with podiums, and on an easel to the side was the star, a 2x3 foot painting. The actors stood at each podium and reading their parts acted out the plot.

Players bake sale
      This Saturday, Nov. 22, the Trinity Players will hold a bake sale in front of Longs Drugs to help pay for their upcoming Christmas production, "Fruitcakes." This quirky yet touching comedy explores alienation, reconciliation and the power of love.

Museum sing-along
      The holiday season is just around the corner and it will soon be time for a little Mountain Magic Christmas. Getting into the holiday spirit, the Jake Jackson Museum will be joining in the Mountain Magic by hosting a Christmas carol sing-along from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28.
