LUKE ARNOLD WILDGRUBE JR.
      Luke Arnold Wildgrube Jr., 72, passed away Aug. 9, 2008, sleeping in his favorite chair at his home in Dinsmore. He was born Sept. 9, 1935, in Woodland, Wash. He moved with his family to Humboldt County at the age of 12. In 1952, his family moved to Dinsmore and he graduated from Fortuna High School in 1953.

CECIL SMITH
      Cecil Smith, 88, of Weaverville, quietly passed from this life on Aug. 17, 2008, in the company of friends and family at Mercy Medical Center in Redding. A World War II veteran, he was on a troop train of National Guard members traveling through Dunsmuir when war news reached them on Dec. 7, 1941, that Hawaii was under attack.

GEORGIANN 'GEORGIE' LUNSFORD
      Georgiann Lunsford died Aug. 5, 2008, surrounded by family at her San Andreas home. She was 83. Born in Lincoln, "Georgie," as she was known, met her late husband Bill in Weaverville in 1950 while they were both working for the U.S. Forest Service. They were married for 50 years. The couple relocated to San Andreas about 50 years ago.

      Fred L. West, 55, of Weaverville, died July 5, 2008, at his residence of natural causes. He was born Dec. 17, 1952, in California. He was a cabinet maker for 11 years. He was a Master Mason, Columbia Brotherhood No. 370 in San Francisco. He was a past officer of Pacific DeMolay Association and past Master Councilor of the South San Francisco Chapter, Order of DeMolay.

      Tyler James Thomas, 21, of Hayfork died Aug. 17 at his residence. Arrangements are being handled by Forrest Funeral Home in Weaverville.
