Calling artists

Artists, artists everywhere! That's what people will see during "Artists in Action" on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Artists of all kinds will be working at their crafts on the sidewalks of historic downtown Weaverville.

Sponsored by the Trinity County Arts Council, the event is part of the Trinity County Autumn in the Alps celebration.

The council is looking for a wide range of artists and craftspeople to participate in the free event - from singers to spinners, painters to poets, welders to woodworkers.

If you wish to participate, stop by the Main Street Gallery at 490 Main St. in Weaverville to pick up a registration form, or contact Julie Feely (530) 623-4788 to receive a form by mail.
