The show goes on with Fire Stomp
      About 300 adults and children attended the one-night "Trinity Fire Stomp" concert held at Lee Fong Park in Weaverville on Saturday. The one night-event was held to help make up for the cancellation of the twoday Trinity Tribal Stomp. The Tribal Stomp was to be held at the Junction City Park, now being used as a fire camp.

Time for Comedy Night
      An outdoor Trinideli Comedy Night will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, on the green at the Trinity Alps Golf Course. The featured performer is Steve Mazan, who is a regular on the Bob and Tom Show.

Fiber art show at the Highland
      Highland Art Center in Weaverville is presenting a group of fiber artists known as the Faultline Studio Artists during the Art Cruise this Saturday, Aug. 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. The show features quilts and other fiber-art pieces from the East Bay group.

Open studio
      Scarborough Pottery will have open studio sales and refreshments every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May through October. From Highway 3 in Weaverville, turn left on East Weaver Creek Road and go one mile to the "studio open" sign on the left.
