I propose that our response to the fire emergency in Northern California is a good indicator of our resilience as individuals, as communities, as a state, and as a nation. In the past 10 years I've donated numerous books and other items to the Lewiston Library. In the first week of May, I deposited in the book drop two large coffee table books and a small book about kittens, for donation. One of the large books (World Atlas) was dropped off by mistake, but nobody seems to know what happened to the books. More ...
