The Blues Shakerz will play Tangle Blue Saloon, 160 Nugget Lane, Weaverville, on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 8 p.m. “till the old guys in the band are too tired to play anymore.”

The Trinity Blues Shakerz is a loose ensemble of like-minded, blues/rock enthusiasts who love playing this stuff. Guitar and bass players Jim and Larry French have played together since that day the Beatles were on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” The band will be joined by Mark Crafford on drums, Dan Zook on sax, Hugh Ashley on blues harp, and for this show, Kelly Sheen on the keyboard. Special guest is super guitar player Lou Rossi from Hayfork.

Planned are two sets of traditional blues, several Van Morrison tunes, a Neil Young tune, some Beatles tunes, and even a bit of Stones.
