Santa Claus is coming to Hayfork.

On Sunday, Dec. 2, the Hayfork Christmas Festival, with fun for everyone, will begin at 3 p.m. at Hayfork Park.

There will be holiday vendors for gift shopping; Christmas crafts for the kids; a visit from the Jolly Old Elf, himself (escorted in a bright red engine by the Hayfork Volunteer Fire Department); treats, including homemade cookies, Castellanos’ tamales, hot cocoa and coffee; a commemorative brick sale (for a great holiday gift); Christmas caroling; the lighting of the park Christmas tree; and one of the high “lights” of the Christmas season, the Hayfork Light Parade, which will begin at 5:45.

All interested in participating in the parade can find entry forms either at the Tire Shop in Hayfork or on the Hayfork Light Parade Facebook page. Entry fee is by donation, which goes directly to support Hayfork Park and Pool.
