Ruth Lake was full of boaters enjoying the beautiful weather at the 18th annual Ruth Lake Summer Festival Saturday, Sept. 1. Back on shore in the Ruth Recreation Campground there was plenty of fun to go around. Above, musicians Antoine & Cyril from France performed in the afternoon. Left, youngsters at the festival attempt to pop each other’s balloons during one of the kids’ games. Right, 4-year-old Madison dances with Stitches, a friendly dinosaur with a touring children’s program from Vacaville, Calif. The Ruth Lake Summer Festival is sponsored by Humboldt-Trinity Recreation Alliance and is a benefit for the Southern Trinity Volunteer Fire Department, Southern Trinity Area Rescue and other local projects.
