Walt Scott, co-pastor of Let Go and Soar Ministries and co-chair of the Trinity Hope House Board of Directors, has published his third book, “Is This All There Is?”

Have you ever arrived at a point in your life and thought or asked yourself that question, “Is this all there is?”  In his latest book, the author shares many life experiences and lessons learned in hopes of helping others find the value in their lives. He explains there is so much more to life than the world alone has to offer.

There will be a book signing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Tammie’s Books, 106 Main St., Weaverville.

Pastor Walt and his wife Sharron have been residents of Trinity County since 2002, and have dedicated their lives to serving God and their community. They have a passion for helping the homeless citizens of Trinity County find their value and worth and be re-established as productive members of the community. They are also passionate about unifying the Body of Christ, the Church, within the community and throughout the nation. “We lay there staring up into the sky feeling like we were moving instead of the clouds. Then this sensation came over me that felt like the earth beneath me was trying to communicate with me. I can only describe it like this: I felt the earth was a living thing, like it was breathing and alive; an intelligent entity that was reassuring me about everything. I felt peace and contentment like  never before. I didn’t want to get up or leave ... As I look back on it now, I feel God was speaking to me through this encounter, telling me that there is so much more to this life than we can possibly imagine.”
