The recent rains have been great, but the Weed and Feed Your Soul days at the Highland Art Center heritage gardens had to be canceled due to the precipitation. So, they are recruiting volunteers to commit to one hour of weeding this Friday, May 22, between the hours of 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Everyone will work individually in their own garden patch. Bring your own gloves, weeding tools, etc. Cold drinks provided. Call 623-5111 for details or simply show up at a time that works for you.

Personal shopping is now available at the Highland. Do you have a special anniversary, birthday, graduation, or event on the horizon? They would love to help you make it special.

Call 623-5111 to arrange a connection to a piece of fine jewelry or artwork. They’ll be happy to present photographs of recommendations; then schedule a private appointment to help you make your final selection.

New artwork produced by member artists working from home have been streaming in via email. This has clearly been an opportunity for artistic growth and not a setback at all. It looks like an “Art from the Quarantine” show will be curated in the future. New work is still being requested, so send it in to info@highlandartcenter.org.
