September’s Main exhibit at the Highland Art Center features the paintings of Jeff Crago, who won the Best of Show award at the Juried Art Show last October with his piece titled “Tare 2.” Much of his work has a Polynesian theme as well as other exotic depictions of Oceania and beyond. Bold colors, strong brushwork and interesting compositions are the elements consistently present in Crago’s pictures. A sneak preview will be on view from Aug. 27 with the official opening on Saturday, Sept. 5.
