The 3rd annual Trinity County Art in the Alps: Ceramic & Glass Crafts Fair is set to take place Saturday, June 15. Many talented ceramic and glass artists, as well as vendors in other specialty crafts, from the North State will participate.

Free admission. (Some hands-on activities have a nominal materials charge.)

Join in the activities 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Main Street in downtown Weaverville. Organizers invite artists, students, ceramic and glass enthusiasts, and anyone interested in discovering the wonders of the ceramic and glass arts to watch insightful presentations and demonstrations by Dan Molyneux, Michael Hopko and others. Hopko will be demonstrating glass blowing under the big tent in the meadow. Several hands-on activities are scheduled for all to experience with many activities resulting in an arts keepsake. Two glass artists will be making glass marbles, Raku and the wheel invite people to play with clay, and a person can paint glass onto a pendant and create enamel pendants.

Organizers have also expanded the event to include a variety of quality crafts, including hand-woven fabric bowls.

Gallery exhibits will be at the Main Street Gallery, Highland Art Center, and at Hubbell Studio with Ian Stetson Ceramics.
