The Holiday Gift and Craft Show has begun at the Highland Art Center in conjunction with the Woven Wonderland Fiber Art Exhibit. Unique items in its gift boutique created by local artisans are available and priced especially for the season.

The center will be celebrating Mountain Magic Christmas with extended hours on Friday, Nov. 29, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; plus weekend hours of 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 30-Dec. 1. Employees will be serving warm cider and holiday cookies as well.

Dawn Hospice and the Highland Art Center will be conducting the Light Up A Life ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, in conjunction with the monthly Art Cruise. Honor someone who has passed, or someone living with a star prominently hung on the tree in front of the Highland. Fill out a star request form at the Highland or purchase a star at the event for $10. All proceeds go to the Dawn Hospice to help underwrite its operation.
