The 2023 Dream Makers Gala and Auction fundraiser will take place on Saturday, April 15, at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Weaverville. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Sen. Mike McGuire will return as the Gala auctioneer, so the evening will again be full of fun and energy.

Weaverville Rotary Club, Soroptimist International of Trinity County, and the Weaverville Lions Club will be partnering with numerous community business sponsors to host this year’s fundraiser.

The Gala will again feature a silent auction, heavy appetizers to be provided by local restaurant vendors, area wine and craft beer vendor tastings, the most entertaining and amazing live auction that you can imagine, with McGuire as the auctioneer, and more.

“We are really excited about this community collaboration to help local youth, local veterans and local community projects pursue their dreams, especially after the event has been dark for a few years, and to achieve related community goals,” according to Debbie Laffranchini, who serves on the Dream Maker’s Gala planning committee organizing the event.

More information about Gala sponsorship opportunities for Gala 2023, and how to purchase tickets, will be made available soon.

“For now, though, we are just excited to let the community know that this popular and impactful event is back on the calendar, and to have folks mark their calendars pending additional information,” said Kimberly Trujillo, another planning committee member.
